Course Description:
OSHA penalties are going up, almost 80%!. On November 2, 2015, President Obama signed the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2015 into law. Section 701 of the Budget Act, entitled Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, gives OSHA the go ahead to increase penalty amounts to catch up with cost of living adjustments since the last time OSHAs civil penalties increased in 1990.
OSHA penalties have not increased in 25 years. Maximum OSHA penalties may jump as much as about 78 percent next year. For a provision quietly tucked away in budget legislation and not given so much media attention, this deal has the potential of severely hurting businesses; large and small.
Why should you Attend?
You will learn more about how the budget deal effects every employer within OSHAs jurisdiction and what you can do to minimize your exposure.
You should attend this webinar to stay abreast the changes that OSHA will be incorporating regarding the increased cost of not meeting regulatory compliance.
